It seemed that the harsh opposing atmosphere has fled. The Russian's presence held nothing to fret over, and Matthew wished the same for the other in his own presence. Spending time here was better than the sleeping schedule Matthew was running on and the practice that had him driven up a wall, bone-dry. Yes, Matthew was a very touchy person, but this felt entirely different, like they had met before; Or this could all be the result of the slightly shorter man thinking far too much. His knowledge of Ivan fell short, but that could be helped. And he couldn't protest against it all. Though the feeling of an eerie happines blanketed the man, Matthew could tell off the bat that something was amiss. With this, his....'motherly' instincts set off, and he told himself then and there that he would stay. Turning his attention elsewhere, he nodded to himself, and the two continued to walk.
He blinked, gawking as his wonted apologies were pointed out. Matthew could never tell himself if it was a flaw or just plain annoying, but apologizing for it would lead to the circles of 'sorry'; something he found himself wound into every so often due to his own stupidity.
He pressed his lips into a small smile, giving a small nod. He didn't take in mind the accent smothering the word, but took it in mind.
.....
Matthew also had realized how attentive he was to his surroundings. And why? How much of his life had been spent in Russia for him to become so amazied and stuperfied by his surroundings? "It's....eh, S'not as cold, but it is still unpleasantly frigid and can get unbearable in the winter." He paused to piece together his own question in his head. "U-Uhm...out of curiosity, How long have you lived in Russia?"
