The sudden noise of the news agency made Hamish want to cover his ears but he knew if he did he would no longer be able to hear Lovino. “Ah juist think living yer entire lee bein' someone wull catch ye ends up taking a' th' joy from yer lee. I’m nae gaun tae halt ye frae living that wey bit ah wid be drien insane.” Now that Lovino was confident Hamish began to become nervous knowing they were probably going toward people who could kill them for giving them the wrong look. Making small motions with his hands Hamish formed himself a black newspaper boy hat out of the shadow. He continued to follow Lovino while hiding his hair in the hat. When in dangerous situations Hamish always hid his hair because he didn’t want people to be able to use the color of his hair to easily track him down. Another worry Hamish had at these people seeing his hair was they might know him from what he did in the past. “Idiots wha hawp in loue at foremaist sight 'n' ur willing tae murdurr themselves ower someone thay barely knew ur fated tae die.” The more serious things got the more Hamish wanted to leave and get himself a pack of cigarettes. “Even if ah did speak thay wouldn’t ken th' accent. Ah don’t need yer pity or anythin'. That wee cut wouldn’t be enough tae hulp me wi' anythin'. Don’t worry ah awready huv a robbery planned fur th' nicht sae thare is na reason tae hing aroond ye.”

"That depends on the person. No one's every gonna catch me, it's just best t'be fuckin' prepared. Keeps you out of fuckin' trouble." A slight smirk grew on Lovino's face as he spotted the nervous way Hamish held himself. "Chill the fuck out, all that these people could do is call the Government, they're completely pathetic," he reassured almost teasingly as a darkly tanned hand reached out to press the button to the elevator, calling it down to them. As they waited for the elevator, rich but dark green eyes rolled from behind black sunglasses. "Again, it's not fuckin' fate. They were just too fuckin' stupid to figure out how to live. There's a damn difference--" The Italian cut himself off when he heard the last statement, a displeased frown immediately tugging at the corners of his lips. "The fuck kind of idiot are you? These blueprints are worth almost five hundred thousand to the right buyer, you dumbass!" He hissed, reaching over and swiping the papers back from Hamish no problem. "And since I can't trust you to keep your mouth shut about me I'm offering ten percent for you to leave me the fuck alone once this is over." It was true, and Lovino was hoping the redhead would take the bribe as it was and just leave once this was done with. He had operations to plan once this was over, as well as groceries to buy and some more of those pretty alpine aster plants he had seen in the market. In short, he had no time for a redhead like this to continuously poke into his life when all he did was pick pockets 'for a living'.

“If na yin wull ever catch ye thare is na reason tae be prepared fur that means nothing wull ever happen. It's a waste o' time tae plan fur th' improbable.” Whenever dealing with resistance members or government officials Hamish always found him beginning to worry about being caught as someone who has stolen from both sides. “If th' government knew whit ah keeked lik' thay cuid fin' me bonny easily. Mah locks always give me awa' whin fowk ur keekin fur me.” Hamish didn’t feel like someone trying to arrest him when he was at his shop or when he was innocently walking down the street. Green eyes narrowed slightly at the insult from the Italian. “If ah cared aboot getting that money ah wid be haudin' those blueprints 'n' yin o' mah shadow threads wid be piercing ye!” At the sudden burst of anger small black threads came from his back and curved around his sides to point at Lovino. Trying to calm himself Hamish backed away some and put his index fingers to his temples. Seconds later the shadows broke apart and faded away. “How come can’t ye accept that ah don’t waant ony o` yer money? A' you’re daein' is proving tae me that ah shuid huv abandoned ye wi' that crowd o' fowk wha a'maist git a haud o` yer beloved blue prints.” His eyes rolled some and he looked around them to see what there was around the place. There was no reason for him to be there and he realized he should have parted ways before they entered the building. “If ye wanted me tae gang awa' how come didn’t ye juist gimme money up front 'n' say that wis fur helping ye then shoo me awa'?” Just as Lovino had plans so did Hamish but his were far from being the same as what the Italian planned to do. He planned to slip into the government building and take a few important documents while visiting and sell them to leaders of the resistance. Picking pockets was more fun to Hamish than breaking into buildings but when he wanted to make more than a few hundred dollars there was no choice.

Rolling his eyes, Lovino's previous goodwill to this intriguingly irritating pickpocket bagan to die. There is nothin' damn wrong with bein' prepared, especially for the improbable. That's the shit that's gonna bite you in the ass." To the Italian, a dose of paranoia was healthy, especially for people who didn't have a side to fall back on. Being neutral was easily the most dangerous 'political stance' someone could take in today's society and you could get into shit without anyone willing to help. Scoffing at the outburst, surreptitiously waving his fingers to have a magically appearing 'businessman' stand down in the face of the shadow needles. Volatile anger, Lovino noted, looking a bit amused as the disguised guard tucked his gun away and went back to his post, looking unamused. "Well, knowing how much somethin' is worth usually makes a difference when it comes t'murder," He replied almost pleasantly, fixing his shirt and successfully hiding the trembling in his fingers. "And don't take that fucking tone, you're never said a damn word about not wanting my bribe-money so don't like I fucking purposely and personally insulted you. You're just overreacting." Green eyes peered into green over dark lenses as a brown eyebrow rose. "I didn't pay you then because I don't have any right now, and do you really think I had or have a reason to let you leave without assurances you aren't going to try turning me in? I mean," Lovino added with a shrug, "not that you could actually get me caught now from just rushing to the closest Government agent but I still don't want to deal with that shit. So unless you have a better idea of how I can trust you take the damn bribe money." At that moment, the elevator doors pinger and slid open behind the Italian in an odd parody of the choice the 'disguised' redhead had to make.

Even with the sunglasses on Hamish could almost hear the scowling and how the other rolled their eyes over what he said. “Weel whin it bites me in th' ass I’ll be happy that ah wis able tae gilravage lee as much as possible instead o' worrying awfy much aboot something that micht nae even be whit causes mah doon fall.” Hamish always wanted to not have to worry about how things would end but never could pick a side. He wanted to be where the danger was and never have to trust a soul. A slight blush came to Hamish’s face, as he grew embarrassed for allowing such an outburst. Hamish never took notice of the businessman who took notice of his shadow needle display. “I’ve ne'er bin interested in murdering ye bit if yi'll waant me tae chaynge mah mynd ah kin pat an end tae ye noo.” The anger began to build again now that the Italian seem to be trying to push his buttons. He couldn’t stand this for much longer and could feel his anger about to bubble over once again. “Ah haven’t tried tae murdurr ye yit whilk is reason enough tae trust that ah dae nae need yer bribe tae bade oot o` yer lee.” He leaned forward and whispered in Lovino’s ear with a slight hiss, “Mah wee brother wirks wi' th' government sae I’m sure if ah wanted ye tae disappear ah cuid inform him o' whit ye huv dane 'ere.” With each word out of the Italian’s mouth Hamish began thinking of letting his shadows pierce the man and show him that if he wanted the money he could just take it. Slowly a single one shadow turned into one of the threads and began moving towards Lovino ready to strike. Just before the needle could make contact Hamish caught sight of what he was about to do. Not able to change the direction of the shadow needle Hamish instead moved himself in the path causing the single needle to pierce through his shoulder. In shock his ripped the needle out of his arms causing blood to run from the wound and stain his shirt.

Jerking back with an irritated growl at the unwanted close proximity, along with the damn threats the bastard Scottish man was spitting at him, Lovino's eyes narrowed as slightly pink lips drew back in a threatening snarl. But before he could have come up with any response to the redhead's threats, such as hissed threats back like "if you fuck with me, I'll fuck with you" or "you could fucking try, but all you'll do is sign your death certificate in blood", all thought jumped out the fucking window the moment that Hamish's powers seemed to activate and a shadow spike was racing in his direction. After jerking back a few steps and stumbling into the elevator with the force of Hamish's "body slam", all but one color seemed to melt out of the entire world. Blood. There was blood. Oh my Dio there was blood coming out of the older man's shoulder. One of those very lethal shadow-spikes was in the redhead's shoulder, which would've been in his eye if-- Oh fucking hell. Lovino could smell the blood, he could see that shockingly bright red, practically taste the iron in the air and just the idea of any blood coming out of him, dripping from gaping injuries and road burns, split skin and broken bones-- A quiet whimper was torn from the small Italian's throat as he stumbled over to the buttons of the elevator. With fingers and palm shaking violently, an artistically slim hand slammed repeatedly over the door-close button, wanting to get as far away from the psychotic redhead who never learned how to use his fucking powers correctly as he could manage. In his panicked haste the brunette accidentally bumped the emergency-switch on as he backed away to the far corner of the elevator. Once finished essentially locking himself in, Lovino curled up in a ball and began rocking back and forth, arms wrapped over his head and hands clenching at the back of his neck. Breathe in and out, calmly, he told himself as a dry sob echoed through the steel box. Just close your eyes, breathe, and ignore the walls shrinking in on you.

The pain caused by the needle stabbing into his shoulder made Hamish freeze and go into shock for a second. During his moment of shock the needle faded away until there was no sign of them left around the room. Feeling the warm start to leak from his shoulder brought him back to reality. With a snap of his fingers shadows formed around the wound preventing any more blood loss. Looking toward the elevator he saw the horror that had formed on Lovino’s face. He had been angry but he didn’t mean to try to cause the other pain or send them into such a panic. By the time Hamish could command his body again to move forward the doors shut separating him from the Italian. Looking at his shirt he realized that blood had covered the sleeve. Sighing he pulled off his jacket then the shirt, carefully he cleaned the blood from his arm before tossing them both to the floor. Shadows moved around Hamish becoming a shirt before he moved closer to the elevator. He pressed his ear against the metal doors to hear if the elevator was moving or not, pausing for a moment he could hear no movement. “Shit,” he whispered knowing trying to calm the other was trying to be difficult. Carefully he began feeding a shadow thread through the door and down toward the elevator, once he felt the shadow touch the metal top he slipped it through the hatch in the top. Now that he had a thread inside he carefully shaped the shadow until it was now a message for the Italian. The shadows read, Lovino I’m sorry I didn’t mean to do that. When my anger get out of hand I lose control but I would never hurt you over a petty argument. Please come back and I will leave. I did not mean to prevent you from completing your job, Knowing the other might not be looking he had the end of his shadow feel around until it touched Lovino’s side to get his attention.

"Just breathe, don't let that redheaded bastard get to you," Lovino whispered to himself, doing his best to ignore the way the sound echoed tinnily throughout the metal box he'd locked himself in. "S-Si, he was b-b-bleeding but it was not you he was a-aiming at..." It was a poor attempt to calm himself, but the more he tried telling himself that the easier it became to think. The walls slowly backed away to their normal resting places, and he could finally breathe. With every easing breathe, the young Italian slowly unwound from his knot of limbs. His legs stretched out underneath him, his arms slid down to prop themselves upon his knees, hands dangling. He was calm, no reason to panic, the stupid Scotsman with his fucking creepy powers couldn't get in here, he was alone-- Lovino nearly leaped out of his skin. Something had just poked him. "C-Che diavolo?!" He squawked, immediately jumping to the other side of the elevator to get the fuck away from the shadow jabbing at him like an incessant child. When he saw the message though, some of his usual temper sprouted back. He stood up and slammed his fist once against the elevator doors. "I don't give a shit whether you "meant to" or not!" He snapped at Hamish standing on the other side of the metallic doors. "You could have fucking killed me! And the way you act in fucking general doesn't make me think you wouldn't hit someone in the middle of an argument because you can't fucking control yourself! I have no fucking reason to trust you or your pretty promises, so unless you can prove to me that you can keep your powers under check I am not moving from this damn spot!!"
Fucking idiot, he mentally hissed to himself, still glaring daggers at the steel doors separating him and the redhead with a nastier temper than his own. If he could fucking control his powers Lovino could have had a decent partner. Certainly not one he'd work too much with, but at least one he could get to help for those bigger jobs when he couldn't carry everything he needed to steal himself. But maybe that's a good thing? He often stolento sell to the People for cheap; who knew if Hamish would be on board for that, considering how selfish he seemed to be when he wasn't freaking out about nearly stabbing someone because he had a childish temper tantrum.

It was still a shock that he allowed his powers to get so out of hand. Hamish usually only pricked the person with a shadow needle when his anger got out of hand. While he didn’t fear blood like Lovino he was afraid of snapping and coming back out of his fit of anger to see he killed someone and covered himself in their blood. There was no nightmare worse than that to him.
At first when Hamish tried to find the small Italian with the shadow thread he wondered if the Italian was dodging it until sudden he felt he shadow touch something. Not sure if it was the wall or Lovino he had the shadow begin poking at the foreign object until he felt whatever his shadow needle was touching suddenly leap away. It was hard to move the shadow around to find anything when he was blind to what was around the shadow. Due to the amount of panic on Lovino’s face when he saw blood Hamish half expected the brunette to still be panicked over seeing blood. When he sudden heard the sound of the other slamming their fist into the metal door he jumped back some in surprise but then knew they were back to their angry self. Hamish growled a little but kept his anger from growing to the levels that made his powers act on their own. “Aye, ah cuid huv murdurred ye bit you’re still alive noo aren’t ye?! Ah wid ne'er hurt anither oan purpose ower an argument!” Hearing the sound of a whistle coming from outside the build Hamish froze for a moment before turning back to the door in front of him. “Shut up fur a minute wull ye?”
Stepping away from the door he made his way to the window to see what was causing the noise he was hearing. Jade eyes grew wide at the site and before he could think his feet moved him back to the door. “We kin continue oor rammy anither time! Seems yer business partners huv reported us tae th' fuckin’ government!!” Looking around to make sure no one was watching him he came up with a quick plan to avoid having them both arrested. “Listen ‘ere! I’m gaun tae open one o' mah shadow portals in thare 'n' th' seicont ye see it ye better run thro' it 'n' don’t stoap running 'til git tae th' ither side! Th' portal is gaun tae tak' ye tae a secret room in mah shop whaur you’ll be safe! Thare is na wey in hell I’m gaun tae let thaim catch ye pretty boy sae ye better be ready tae run!” The ginger was serious about his plan to get Lovino to safety with the little bit of energy he had left. It was his fault that they haven’t gotten the job done so if one of them had to be caught Hamish was willing to allow himself to be the one caught with the blue prints.
