Kim stood there, enjoying the feel for the warm breeze flowing through her hair and the cool waters gently washing her toes. "I hope he got my message..." thought the Asian. She had only been around for about ten minutes, but already she grew worried. She pulled out her phone from the pockets of her short jean shorts. Kim checked her messages; nothing. Sighing as she put her phone away, Kim stared at the sun rise. "I wish he'd come earlier to see this..."

The Canadian paced down the rocky path, a shadow casted behind the tall man as he wiped as his eyes with the ball of his palm feverishly as an attempt to wipe away the sleep. It was god knows what time, and Matthew could not fall back asleep once his phone vibrated, waking him up quite abrutly and in a fright. The text he had recieved was vague, as it only stated....s-something about meeting someone up at the shore. Matthew felt too hurried at the moment to remember, but he did not want to leave this person waiting, even if the text was a mistake. He had finally come in contact with the cool sand, a soft breeze ruffling his hair. Long, black hair came to his attention from the corner of his eye. Well, it was the only person ther...right? Quietly striding up from behind, he leaned to the side, holding his hands behind him and presenting a bright smile, dispite his troubled morning. "Eh, Hello~" Behind him was his phone with the text on-screen, the text that he had been looking at over and over. Matthew cocked his head to the side to get a better shot of the Asian, golden locks swinging to the side as well. The sun caught in his violet orbs. With this, he looked upwards, out at the sunrise. "T-the sunrise is v-very pretty, don't you think?" He tried to summon his courage, as if he were speaking to some he had known for years.

Kim looked at the blonde and gently smiled. She was relieved that this man wasn't like everyone else, who would have completely ignored the text. He actually came. "Yeah, it seems to paint the Earth..." she said. "It makes our world a bit more nicer, more colourful. It sucks it can't stick around all day..." Kim wondered about Matthew. She has heard a lot about him. It's not that she heard anything bad about him, but... She wanted to know what he really was like. That's why Kim had texted him in the first place anyways. "I'm sorry if I had bothered you," sighed the Asian. "You seem pretty tired. You want to sit down?"

Canada repeated her response softly under his breath. 'Paint the earth...' Such pretty words. He had always admired those with a positive view on the world. This wouldn't be too bad, right? "I think that's a nice way to see it." A smile creeped on his cheeks. He straightened his back, confidence beginning to build. He had never really opened up to new people or listened to the things he had heard about others, but he could come to appreciate her views, so it seemed. She seemed very vivacious and pleasant. It lightened the mood. His hands were fumbling with the strings on his hoodie, looking behind him before nodding and sitting himself next to the asian. "S-Sorry...I had just woken up not too long ago." His eyes trailed off, reconnecting to the sunset infront of them. He was still a bit hesitant. "Do you come to see the sunset like this often?" It was an awkward question, but he just wanted to chisel away at the tense situation and continue with her.

Kim gently smiled. She heard about his shyness. It's a relief to her that he's starting to let up to her. "I usually wake up early to see this, but there are times where I wake up a bit too late... but for the majority of the time, yes." Kim stayed quiet for a bit. She was thinking of a question to ask. She wanted to ask so many, but they've only just met. Which one seemed appropriate...? "How's Alfred doing?"she finally asked. Kim didn't think it was the brightest question to ask, but she thought it was appropriate at the time being.
